accident insurance
helping prepare for the unexpected

Accident insurance is coverage that can pay benefits when you are injured in an accident — whether it is a fall down the stairs or a car crash.

It can provide protection in two ways:
  • You can receive benefits to help pay your medical bills if you are injured.

  • Your family can receive accidental death benefits if you pass away from your injuries.
Some plans can pay benefits for just one of the two ways. But the more comprehensive plans can pay benefits for both.

Benefits to pay medical bills are normally a set amount per day (or per month) while accidental death benefits can be a lump-sum payment of a pre-determined amount.

Accident insurance is a good way to complement any health or life coverage you have now. It can help fill the gaps in your health insurance by paying for some medical bills or it can strengthen your life insurance protection by paying accidental death benefits.
